Cycling Secrets Within the Slogans

Bombarded on all sides by slogans, The Wattmeister has spent many years unraveling  the esoteric language of advertising. Convinced that these catchphrases concealed cycling related messages, he has dedicated his time NOT spent on the Strava website in translating their true meaning.

John Lewis……”Never knowingly overtaken”.

Tesco’s ……….”Every watt helps”.

Morrison’s……”More watts matter”.

Asda……………”Why pay more (when it’s cheaper on Wiggle or Chain Reaction)?”

Sainsbury’s …..”Try some new kit today”.

The Co-op……..”Good with energy food”

Rice Krispies…..”Snap! Crackle! Pop!…you’re dropped!”

L’Oreal………….”Buy a new bike, because you’re worth it”.

Apple…………….”Think (of riding a) different (bike)”.

Nike………………”Just Do It, but make sure it’s on Strava”.

The Wattmeister says only a closed mind is certain.
