The Great Muswell Hill Full English Breakfast Review…Summary

The Wattmeister has discovered that the very top of Muswell Hill is well populated with eateries providing substantial Full English Breakfasts, fourteen in total

What constitutes a Full English?  Like many things, the meal has evolved since The Wattmeister first wore the polka dot jersey in The Tour of Wanstead Flats (1979). This point could be debated ad infinitum.

Sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding, bubble & squeak, baked beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms,  fried bread and a cuppa have been joined by hash browns, pancetta, americano, latte and flat whites.

Leading the peloton in this review:

Celicia…..The Broadway Café and Sandwich Bar….Jenny’s Diner..…………9.5/10

Potential wearers of the Yellow Jersey:

The Blue Legume….. Feast on the hIll…. Côte Brasserie…..Cherry Tree Café…………..9/10

Midfield and ready to pounce:

Café in the Grove…..Carluccio’s….. Muswell Hill Cafeteria…………………..8.5/10

Needing to change up a gear:

The Coffee Cup …………………………………………………………………………………………………8/10

Struggling to keep up:

JD Wetherspoon’s……Bill’s.……………………………………………………………..5/10

Which way did they go?:

Crocodile Antiques………………………………………………………………………….3/10

Thanks for reading. I am starting a diet.
